TW: CRIME & MURDER Tessa’s life is one that’s been far from stable. She has hardly any memories of her father, Derek, seeing as he’s been in and out of prison her entire life. At first it was “little things” like a few B&E here, a little GTA there. But everything changed when in a robbery gone wrong left the owner of the home he was breaking into dead. And Tessa’s mother, Nicole, to raise her 3 year old alone.

Nicole never claimed to be mother of the year to begin with, after all her parents were less then loving to her, but with Derek behind bars for the rest of his life Nicole started to unravel.

TW: SUBSTANCE ABUSE before Derek was sentenced to live without parole,  Nicole struggled to stay sober. But after, it was almost as if she’d given up on the idea of sobriety.

TW SUBSTANCE ABUSE By the age of six poor little Tessa had seen far more then any child should, let alone one so young. She’d seen her mom OD, shoot up, steal, and trade sexual acts for dope.

December 24th was like any other day for Tessa and her mom. They’d been living in the homeless shelter in LA for about four months, so it wasn’t a surprise that both her birthday and Christmas were going to pass like days of the week. But Nicole took Tess to a park while she went to go get her a “birthday present”. Elated, Tessa followed her mom’s instructions and she waited for her.

TW: CHILD ABANDONMENT Hours passed, even Christmas came and went, with no sign of Nicole. And that’s when Tessa entered the system.

The system wasn’t horrible. After all it gave her a warm bed and food on the table, but she never really felt like she belonged.

Now Tess has managed to land herself a coveted internship, thought it pays for shit, and her dreams of being an illustrator are near. But for some reason her health has been on the decline lately with no explanation why.

Very lactose intolerant. 

Mild case of OCD (girl just likes thinks in their proper place ok? will pull a monica and get up out of bed if she thinks something is out of place)
